Season’s Greetings!

We are happy to say that our first Christmas Open House on Nov. 13th and 14th far exceeded our hopes and expectations! Thank you to all whom attended! In a shop like ours it takes a village to put it together and that little village of worker bees did a fabulous job (in nine and a half days!)!!

For our first Christmas at Camille’s it has been interesting to see what sells and what doesn’t. When we were renovating my Lovely Lady this past winter & spring we made a couple of quick buying trips to Chicago and could only hope for the best! So far, so good!

Odd as it may seem, we buy in January for Christmas. I am REALLY excited to be going to Atlanta in a few weeks to see what is new and exciting for 2011. Cindy, my financial wizard and business partner, is going this time too. (She is not nearly as excited, she knows it is going to cost her! LOL) We are planning to add some new and interesting lines to our shop. You may be wondering…Like what? Well, you will just have to wait and see!

Now back to this year! Most people are not aware how a full service florist can ease the “pain” of decorating for Christmas. While many of you have already decorated, some are just now getting around to pulling out the decorations.

We stock garland for interior and exterior decorating. We have already sold out of fresh garland but still have some silk available. We also carry many types of silk Christmas florals for when you may want to add a little holiday pizzazz to your favorite vase, piece of pottery, or basket.

We also encourage you to go GREEN! There may be a wreath or silk arrangement stuck away in a corner of your attic that has seen better days yet you paid good money for it and can’t bring yourself to discard it. DON’T add it to a landfill. You can bring it in to add new ribbon, (yours or ours), some shiny new balls, a spritz of glitter, etc. Something old CAN be new again! There are two types of green when you do this….One; you are extending the earth’s resources….. two; you are saving your green MONEY!

Many people also do not realize that they can bring in their own vase, basket, or pottery to be filled for their Christmas party centerpieces. There is no need to spend the extra money on a container when you can bring your own in for a beautiful AND more personal arrangement. We guard these like they are our own. Just tell us what you would like in it, when you need it, we will take it from there!

For those who like bows on their trees, feel free to bring your own ribbon in and we can make the bows for you. There are several examples of bows on our trees, just pick out the style you like and we can have them ready for you to pick up in a short time. With the wired ribbon used today, these can last several years if packed away neatly! We also sell the bows right off of our trees! You know the saying…….”if it is not nailed down”…..

If you are like me, every year when I unpack my Christmas decorations I get all warm and fuzzy. There are so many memories attached to them. Whether they were gifts, things I have picked up for myself over the years, or an heirloom handed down, these are a big part of what makes Christmas special to us all. Enjoy and happy decorating!

Have a very Merry Christmas. Best wishes for a happy and healthy 2011. And last but not least, thank you for such a warm welcome, you made our first six month’s at Camille’s
absolutely wonderful.

Cheers!
