Blooms of Bristol
By Tracy Camille Lane

We are coming to the close of our first month in business. It is time once again for thank you’s. This time to all of the customers who have come by on a daily basis offering support and encouragement and yes, buying a thing or two! You have all made us proud of our new establishment and we look forward to the future with great anticipation!

Oddly enough there are people who do not realize we are a full service florist as well as a gift shop! They can be standing right in front of the wonderful vintage cooler that we purchased from The Treasure Chest and ask if we  do fresh flowers too. We do get a kick out of that! The best to date……. last week someone called to see what kind of food we served. Hmmm, not really sure where that came from but we did get a chuckle out of it.

But…. That does bring up a new line we will soon be adding to our shop. MOVE OVER MARTHA is coming to Camille’s! No, we will not be serving it J but we will be offering the wonderful entrees made by Mario’s Catering at Wood & Gage. To those of you who are familiar with MOVE OVER MARTHA, you know how great they are. To those who are not, Mario’s makes these entrees that are all natural, frozen fresh and ready to bake. They will be coming in early June, stop by and see what they have to offer! They are fantastic!

Camille’s is also proud to welcome Amy Estes Presswood to our staff. Amy is well known in the floral community. She taught floral arranging at the Career center for many years. She has been employed by Geerts Flower Shop, Martins Floral Dept at Cobblestone, and most recently, Sautter’s Floral.  I would tell you how many years she has been doing this but it would most likely annoy her as it could give away her age, not a good thing to do to a fellow woman.  Let me just say that she has been in the business a loooong time and leave it at that. J

Amy’s creativity and thought processes never cease to amaze me. If you have an unusual request to make a floral arrangement customized, Amy will figure out how to do it!  She will also be coming up with projects on a regular basis.  Who knows…next week she might be making bath salts!! Stop in and see what she is up to, one never knows……

Don’t forget! We deliver to Bristol, Elkhart, Goshen, Middlebury, and Union! Send flowers and make someone smile!!! As Martha would say…it’s a good thing.

Cheers!
Tracy Camille
